Meet our our Academic Mentor
Evelyn Kitt is a graduate of the Queen’s College, Oxford University, and specialises in Academic Mentoring and Educational Progress. She has completed a wide range of training in Independent Learning, Study Skills, and Preparation for Higher Education, and has worked at several of the most outstanding independent schools in the South West, including Downside School in Somerset and QEH in Bristol. Evelyn has worked with children from ages 7 – 19, and behaved as an intermediary between staff, students and parents. With her insight into boarding life, Evelyn has provided extra tuition in academic areas ranging from Literacy and Numeracy in primary education, through to personal statement and portfolio development with A Level students, and has successfully guided students in how to maximise their exam performance throughout secondary education. She has taught students with Special Educational Needs, English as an Additional Language, and Gifted and Talented students. Evelyn is also an advocate for Student Mental Wellbeing and Mental Welfare, trained in Student Counselling, Pastoral Care of Teenagers, Child Protection and Supporting Pupils with Processing Difficulties, and so fulfils her role as Academic Mentor with a framework of support and understanding, keeping the best interests of the child and parents in mind.
